Reduces stocking requirements, one armour clamp ring suits W/X/Y/Z armour. Nine sizes suita cable outer diameters up to 78mm. . Dual certification EExd Flameproof and EExe Increased Safety helps reduce specification errors. Fully inspectable armour clamping and transparent compound pot. Wide cable acceptance range eases selection. Same hexagon size enables faster installation.
APPLICATION Ooutdoor or indoor. For use with single wire armoured 'W', wire braided 'X', aluminium strip armoured 'Y', steel tape armoured 'Z' and non-armoured (A2) elastomer and plastic insulated cable. Also suitable for use with cables which exhibit cold flow charactersitics.
FUNCTION Provides armour clamping, using one assembly for all armour/braid types W, X, Y, Z. Provides a seal on inner sheath of cable. Provides a seal on outer sheath of cable. Provides a deluge seal to prevent moisture ingress though to the cable armour/braid. Facilitates inspection of compound though transparent plastic pot.
CERTIFICATION AND APPROVAL BASEEFA Certificate No. Ex94C1001U. EExd and EExe. EN 50014, EN 50018 and EN 50019. Suitable for use in Zone 1 and 2. Suitable for use in Group II A, II B and II C. Meets the requirements of IP 66 and IP67. # Certification pending for sizes G, H, and J. OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE: -20C to +80 degrees C.
MATERIALS AND FINISHES Hawke glands are manufactured as standard in brass (BS. 2874). Alternative materials include stainless steel (BS. 970) and mild steel (BS. 970). Hawke glands can be supplied plated to suit the customers application, e.g. zinc, nickel etc.
