Outdoor or Indoor. For use with double seathed unarmoured elastomer and plastics insulated cables. For Cable end stopping and terminating. Compact three part modular design enables faster installation. Wide cable acceptance range eases selection. Same hexagon size enables faster installation.

APPLICATION
Outdoor or Indoor. For use with double sheathed unarmoured elastomer and plastics insulated cables. FUNCTION: (1) Provides seal on outer sheath of cable. (2) Provides sealing of individual cores of cable. The purpose of this gland is to form a barrier between the individual insulated conductors within the cable and prevent entry into the cable of the products of an explosion within the enclosure. This gland provides effective inner seals on cables having tape bedding or "soft" sheaths as in some types of fire-retardent cable.

DETAILS
The seal of a conventional gland for the cable inner sheath is replaced with a simple with a simple compound filled chamber which permits packing around individual insulated conductors. Assembly of the gland compresees the packing material and sitributes the compound evenly to effect a barrier at point of entry into enclosure. Sealing on outer sheath of cabe and armour clamping are provided in the conventional manner. Compound supplied with gland in a pack including making-off instructions.

CERTIFICATION AND APPROVAL
BASEEFA approval No. BAS Ex85B 1258U. BS 5501 Parts 1 and 5. EN 50014 and EN 50018. Suitabe for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2. For use in Group II A, II B, and II C applications.

OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE
-60 degrees C to +100 degrees C. MATERIALS AND FINISHES: Hawke glands are manufactured as standard in brass (BS. 2874). Alternative materials include stainless steel (BS. 970) and mild steel (BS. 970). Hawke glands can be supplied plated to suit the customers application, e.g, zinc, nickel etc.
